- Even if you mainly want to track expenses, Moneyscope still starts by creating your first budget setup.
- Your main currency is set during budget creation and cannot be changed later.
- You can create multiple budgets.
- You can use Moneyscope in two main ways

1. Budgeting - Use budgeting if you want to plan how much money you want to assign to different categories, such as groceries, rent, transport, or entertainment.

2. Expense tracking - Use expense tracking if you mainly want to record what you spend and where your money goes, without fully planning your budget right away.

Key terms you will see in the app
Here are the most important terms to know as you get started:

| Budget | Your budget is the main workspace you manage in Moneyscope. It holds your categories, accounts, and monthly planning. |
| Account | An account is where your money is stored or owed, such as cash, a bank account, a credit card, savings, or a loan. |
| Category | A category shows what a transaction was for, such as groceries, salary, transport, or rent. |
| Payee | A payee is who you paid or received money from, such as a store, employer, or person. |
| Outflow | An outflow is money spent from an account. |
| Inflow | An inflow is money received into an account. |
| Transfer | A transfer moves money between your own accounts. It does not count as spending or income in your budget. |
